Communication Specialist
The International Technical Advisor’ responsibilities are to review the PRF Information, Education and Communication (IEC) tools in order to ensure that they are in line with the PRF II IEC strategy and plan, and ensure that the PRF staff are properly trained in order to understand the contents of the IEC tools and are able to use it appropriately to effectively and efficiently serve the PRF II objectives. Required qualifications:
- An advanced degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Development studies or other related field;
- At least 10 years experience in projects targeting uplands communities in rural areas;
- Solid relevant working experience in the development of communication tools in the field of decentralized planning, participatory rural development, and capacity building of project staff and beneficiaries;
- Experience in training of project staff;
- Familiarity with the Lao culture and tradition and of the context of ethnics groups in remote areas;
- Knowledge of Lao language, culture and tradition will be considered as an asset;
- Fluency in English (writing, editing, reporting and speaking).
